Why?

I lost a gas cap about 2-3 weeks ago and figured I was a dumbass and forgot to put it back on after filling up my car. I noticed it was gone when my little check engine light came on. So I have been making sure it is on everytime since this happened.

Well this morning, my check engine light comes on again. I get out of the car and "bam" no gas cap. I have a cover that you have to actuate from the inside of the car to get to the gas cap. So someone is prying my cover open, taking the gas cap, and closing it back.... No gas is missing, nothing unusual about the way the car is running so no sugar in the tank or anything. Just a missing gas cap....

WTF is wrong with people....

I do irritate a lot of people in the apartment complex by running my 50 around the parking lot like a mad man, but it's all older people because it's a pretty pricey place so college kids and dumbasses can't really afford it. Unless the bastards from the cult church didn't think clotheslining was good enough and sent their little cult followers after me.

I think Kyle would do something more creative than take a gas cap in the middle of the night.

how are they getting into your car to pll the lever? that would concern me. i had a car almost stolen when i was in florida. they punched my ignition out, i think i scared em off when i came out to go to school because all i had to do is turn the ignition with a screwdriver to start it. another minute or so and it would of been gone bye-bye. do some recon with a paintball gun and tag that arse.

Chances are its one of the doors that can be popped open with a flat head screw driver. I used to have an eclipse and an avenger that both had to be opened from the inside, but there was enough of a gap that a small screw driver or something of the sort could get into.

Nope, the civic is almost an inpentrable fottress, well unless you break the glass. Seriously, it's one really freakin hard car to jimmy. I had two cops fail to get into it and an AAA guy work on it for about 20 mins before he could get it unlocked when I locked my keys in it one time. It's a crazy hard car to break into that is completely not worth the effort.
