What's up with the NEW TWF?

I've been a member here for almost 2 years now... and over the last year... actually a little less than that... I've noticed a big change... and personally I don't really care for it. I joined TWF because it was a motorcycle forum and I was looking for information... I STAYED and posted because the people here seemed not only to be generally knowledgeable but also very welcoming to newbe's... it seemed as though TWF welcomed everyone... some with some good humored ribbing if they fit the bill... aka HD owners, drag bikes, show bikes, ect... now it seems as though anyone who doesn't drag a knee is blasted any time they post!

I agree that we need to "remind" those who put others in danger by their way of riding by letting them know we don't agree with it... but that INCLUDES DRAGGING KNEES ON PUBLIC STREETS... so at least in my book it doesn't make us any better.

I don't mind the good humored banter but it's gotten to the point that people don't feel welcomed here... and I think it's

Who gives a damn what someone else is doing, as long as it's not endangering anyone else (and your not guilty of the same) let it be! let the TWF Family grow and you might just find you have more in common than you thought.

I doubt this will change any thing... i know better than that... just needed to vent... and see if anyone else had notice the change too.

I noticed that, and the legging humping of the females til they dont post no more either. I'm guilty of ribbing stunters, but not to badly (I dont think) unless they are stupid enough to claim they wont crash or can control a bike on one wheel as well on two wheels BS.

Many of my customers are dragsters, stunters, cruisers, and canyon carvers. The one thing that draws us all together, is the 2 wheeled freedom. Whether or not you ride a "iron horse" or a "carbon rocket" we all throw a leg over and should show respect to each other.

So, to all who ride the open road

I let it be known that I don't agree with stunting on public streets... well... I should say in traffic... I really have no issues with stunting on back roads that you have no traffic on... and will injure no one but yourself. As for the Leg humping it's kind of the same... it gets old after a while... and turns female's away... exactly what we don't want.

with you and i also posted a thread just before you but i was penalized for it and was warned by an administrator/Mod. I agree i shouldn't have used the terminology i did but i don't think you should have erased my thread. Is this thread going to be erased also? will TRIP warn you like he did me?....glad to see i'm not the only one. I wish my return to this forum would have started off better than it did....but i will forgive but never forget

I've noticed a high ratio of douchebags since I joined... I think I was probably the start of that.

That being said, I've spoken with a number of members... on and off the forum... who have also been bitching about the change toward the negative around here. I know I am guilty of it, but it seems like there's a never ending barrage BS anytime anyone wants to do something other than drag knees...

you must have misunderstood what i was trying to say or i wasn't clear. I just returned to TWF and noticed a big difference on how the members treat other members with different concepts and ideas other than there own. I too have noticed this and spoke out.... we need to stop being so narrow minded and be a 2 Wheel Family...not a stunter family and a racer family an so on...we all ride on two wheels bro...let's show some respect for our fellow brother and sisters who ride..... enough said

Something retarded like that deserves to be blasted. It's the, "look at my chromed out Busa" and "I wanna buy a stunt bike"... SERIOUS posts/threads that get shat upon regularly that I am talking about.

Its definitely changed recently. When I joined 2 years ago people were a lot more helpful... most of my riding decisions were made by asking TWF for advice. It was like having a seasoned rider to help you.
We've had a lot more members lately... that probably has a lot to do with people's attitudes towards newbs.

I have noticed this as well this forum has been pissing me off for a while. I miss the more regular postings from some of our truly wonderful members such as OTB and gasman there are others too. I don't even think the majority of discussion on here is even motorcycle related and there is an awful lot of flaming from some regular members towards stuff such as stunting and whatever else. The whole stunting vs. kneedragger thing is definitly hypocrytical. As for changing it I don't know much about that I am still addicted enough to this forum to check in every now and then but I don't find much of reason to post much lately.
