Sometimes you don't NEED to fight City Hall

Exiting off the 15 Freeway at Highway 247 in my hometown last week,

I noticed the left-turn light sensor would not "trigger" for me and my "Duck".

(Barstow's only?) I waited and waited and waited, and when an SUV pulled-

up behind me, I moved into the crosswalk and motioned the driver to pull up

close, so his 2-1/2 ton 4-wheeler might trigger the light. It did, and we were on our way.

The next day I contacted CalTrans, the California State Dept. of Roads and

Highways, and less than a week later, they DID survey the scene and re-

adjusted the sensor.

Just wanted to say "Thanks, job well-done!" to CalTrans, and remind the

rest of you that SOMETIMES the government IS on our side!
