Do you donate blood?

Whether it be at work at Red Cross or at some other type of blood drive....

How many of you donate the gift of blood?

Maybe you have a rare blood or whatever...

Maybe you can't because of some reason...

When I was in the service, I gave eveytime they came around. I would do it in the early morning and get the rest of the day off for doing so. Nothing like a free day off.

Bulldog...its called research the word and less time postwhoring. Here is the definition: "The transfer of whole blood or blood products from one individual to another."

I voted no, but I do have a reason. I always had a fear of needles. The one time I had blood drawn for a test (had strep throat several times back to back) I was in high school and lucky enough to have my god parents drive me there. I was unaware of what was going to happen so (I think they planned it that way) so I didn't have time to get cranked up before the apointment. So I was sitting on the table, they drew the blood (I clenched my teeth through it), and when I stood up that's when I hit the floor. I think that's the only time I've truly passed out! Needless to say, my mind will not allow me to donate.

I don't ahve a problem with needles, I use to get allergy shots all the time when I was a kid. It's the blood. I'll passout if I look at the blood pumping into the vile or the bag. if it wasnt for the recent tatoo id give.... but ive psent so much of the past three years.. prob over half unable to give cuz of tattos and peircings...
Needles dont scare me though obviously. I like the feeling of it making the hole in the skin.. 12Ga needles through your tongue feels like pushing it through a steak..lol tasty.. and seeing blood i could carel ess aobut, unless its a fatality accident or a really bad fight... cant watch someone get beat $hitless.

Yep I give when I can! I just hate when I get someone that has no frigging clue what the h3ll they are doing and jack my arm up. But I just think about that sweet little baby that may need my blood someday and nothing else matters!!

well unless you are a woman (you know why) then you have 2 choices - play hockey or give blood. I can't skate so I give every 60 days like clockwork. Once at work and once at Church.. It is great to get rid of old blood and let your body make new, etc.
