i passed!

i went in there and pointed out my stuff i had ready and they said i was right ..... gave me a permit in five minutes!!!

i cant wait until i get the bike but there is a delema on that now (i dont feel cofrtable riding on the high way we have to pass)

so i got to put it in the back of the truck and then take it out when i get here


any suggestions on how to do that??? i dont have a ramop and dont whant to pay for it to use it once!!

just drive it on the highway and stay in the right lane...youve ridden dirt bikes, youll feel comfortable enough on your new bike after a few miles of riding to be on the highway..i say go for it...

Buy two or three Tie-Down Straps....
go find a ramp(loading dock, concrete) in your area... ride the bike there and have soemone else take the truck... line the bike and truck up to a place on the ramp thats the right height to roll it right in...

I have no ramp either but once in a while i truck my bike 200 miles... theres a ramp in town here thats perfect height for my toyota truck to drop the tailgate and the bike rolls right6 in.. less then a 1/4" difference between the ramp height and my truck.. works like a charm.. just use the three tiedowns so u cna try to shake the bike and it wont fall.. park the bike in the truck on the kick stand diagonally... strap the front left and rear right... then one other corner just for saftey.. but if the straps are good and tight then 2 will work.. ive taken it in my truck cornering fast with two straps the 200 miles and never had a problem.. just stop and check in in hte middle once to make sure they dont work loose if your cornering in the truck hard. most straps will stretch a lil with stress.. especially if they are new.

I don't know how it is in California, but here in Indiana, you have to have a permit for 30 days before they will issue you a license. You take a written test to get the permit, then you have to take another written test to get your license. But it's the same test. Although, if you didn't take an MSF class, you also have to perform the riding portion of the test, but just to get the endorsment.

i have used them opn my dirtbike sop i will just do the same i guess? but should it be okay with the two hadlebars strped to the front of the truck?

It should be ok with the front tied down. But to be safe, go spend atleast $15 and get a second set and do the rear as well. Or make it real easy....RIDE IT HOME!!! You've been talking smack for how long now...You have a permit, so ride.

get some tie downs and have whoever you bought the bike from help you tie it down (that's the least they could do) and drive it home. when i got my bike i couldn't wait for my friends to help me offload it so i backed up to a slanted slope of grass and put those ramps for your car you can drive up on under the tailgate and backed it off. then i went riding illegaly for a while. it was fun!

Good job on passin your test . Highway ridin is not to bad. At least you don't have driveways where people are pullin out & people tryin to turn left infront of you . Everyone goin same way at more or less same speed .Just remember to adjust your mirrors & always check your blind spots .Most mirrors on bikes dont give you a good picture of whats behind. Or all u c is your elbows. Thats my

Congrats on the test! I would ride it home myself! If that isn't possible than tie it down just like the dirt bike. Just remember to watch the straps so not to damage the front faring.
