anyone here use trillian?

i just downloaded Trillian since MSN wouldn't work on my computer for some reason. anyway, i can't figure out why, but i can talk to all my AIM contacts, but my MSN contacts always show them being offline. what do i need to change?

If you're using the standard skin the online/offline indicators will be near the borrom. Make sure you are connected to MSN. You can also open up the connection manager to see if it's giving out any errors. I had problems after an install once, but it was all because I had the wrong password in for MSN. It didn't give me any indication of that though, it just wouldn't stay connected.

I used to use trillian, but it had too many bugs. If it's any better now, let me know!

it keeps saying Error Code 12002 when it trys to connect to MSN

ok, everytime i try to sign in to msn messenger, it refuses to connect and gives me a message that says "we were unable to sign you into .NET Messenger service, possibly because of a problem with the service, your internet connection, or your proxy settings. Please make sure you are connected to the internet. 0x81000301"

but i know it's not the service because it's been doing this for months, even though i've redownloaded MSN messenger 4 or 5 times.
