College Station man charged in 'wheelie' incident

A College Station man accused of riding his motorcycle at speeds of 80 to 100 miles per hour and "popping a wheelie" as his 5-year-old daughter held on in back was released Sunday from jail.
Jason Bryant, 27, was charged Saturday with reckless driving, endangering a child, having an expired license, not having a motorcycle endorsement on his license and obscuring a license plate.
He posted $36,600 in combined bonds.
The Brazos County Sheriff‚s Office arrested Bryant after an off-duty officer from Marlin noticed the red and black Suzuki motorcycle traveling north on Texas 6, weaving in and out of traffic at the high rate of speed with the child on back, court documents state. As the Marlin officer followed the vehicle onto Tabor Road, he witnessed the wheelie, he told sheriff deputies.
Bryant also took several turns so fast that his knee nearly touched the pavement, the officer reported. He pulled the motorist over and waited for local authorities to arrive, court documents state.
