Jetski...I've heard of that stuff before.
Of coarse, I've heard of a lot of stuff in this field. I use to be a car detailer...
However, Jetski, is saying the right thing... you need to polish it. Whether it be something like that or something you can get in a store... for store products I would suggest a good polish from either Maguieres or Mothers. They are about the 2 best popular retail store brands. They will carry about everything you will need and it shouldn't be hard to find.
Clay?? Clay is something that the pro's alone have been using for years. It is very common at body shops and such. It is exactly that...CLAY! Not just any clay but a particular type. Well, up till about 5 years or so ago I wouldn't be able to tell you where to get it. Then Mothers came out with it. Many still don't know about it... but go to a Murray's, Auto Zone, Pep Boys, or some other car type store like that. Someplace that carries alot of the car detailing stuff. It's in a tall box by, again, Mothers... red as all Mothers branded stuff is...
It will come with a clay block and some car detailer spray that you will use for lubercant (sp?)...yes lube...
You spray the panel you're working on and rub the clay on the panel... then towel dry. The clay removes the contaminents, ground in dirt, over spray, and all kinds of stuff that makes your paint all nasty!
It works GREAT!!!
