What do you think about this trailer?

Looks like crap on the outside, but it will hold 4 bikes easily.

Surrender the booty, and let me get my hands on that beautiful treasure chest!!

One of these days, I'll actually buy a bike again...

Looks aren't everything. She's not pretty but would get the job done. What are you towing it with? I am guessing it has a steel frame, sheet metal body, whole bunch of OSB on the interior, even before you load up four bikes inside, thing may very well weigh a ton. If you have marginal tow vehicle, may not be a good combination.

It would be towed with a Honda Civic with a 1 1/4" hitch. Think that will get the job done? Nah, if I get it, it would be towed with a Chevy 1500.

Yeah Capt...it may not be pretty but like Dyno said... it will keep the thives away... who would want to steal that! Especially not knowing that there is $50 in bikes inside! But the inside look great!

Well, from looking at the bids on it now, I'd have to say there's just a little bit of shill bidding going on. I wouldn't be surprised if I get an e-mail stating that the winning bidder didn't pay and asking if I want to buy the trailer. He can go screw himself if that's the case.

I think if you can get it for under 800, it would be a deal... I'd check the brakes and invest in electrics if you are going to haul it very much. Put an awning on the side with a screen room and you are set...

Sorry, OSB - it's basically laminated chipboard. Composed mainly of forest waste that has been chipped into thin layers then compacted with a glue resin under intense heat and pressure. You'll see it in new homes to replace exterior walls beneath the siding or in the roof beneath the shingles. Also in floors. It's cheaper then plywood and has roughly the same structural properties. Much like plywood, a little on the heavy side.

As for the guy jacking his own auction, if the winner doesn't pay up, I would maybe offer the first price that the alledged fake bidder jumped in at, but nothing more.

Screw that, he's ass out if he thinks I'll buy it after he tried to jack up the price. Let him put it back up on eBay and watch it rot in his yard.

Since it's in Taylorville, Illinois... see if somebody you know could get a closer look at it... but the possibilities are there... it may not look pretty but there is room to grow... unless you plan at loading it with a dozen bikes... you can make the inside out to what ever you want it to be... as for the out side... Yeah if it looks like crap, but then nobody will jack it... but some paint and lights it could look better...
