this is an easy fix-call ur phone company get the phone insurance, next time the phone does it close phone if its a flip phone, grip firmly like a baseball, find hard surface, throw phone as hard as you can at hard surface. there you go, call the phone company and in a couple of days they send u a new phone.

Yeah, mine does the same thing, but I like it that way. Have you gone into the options list on your phone to try and set it up differently? All phones are different, but you may be able to set it up for different sounds to alert you to voice mail.

I have Verizon here in the big bend area and I make calls where Alltell, Cingular and others can't. I can't say anything bad about my service...However, as far as dealing with them, I wish them road rash to the bone... So with Verizon, that means we can talk to each other for free, right? Whatcha waiting for???

I have a buddy who works for Verizon corporate sales. Most people are unaware or neglect updating their phones software on a regular basis. Generally this cna correct 75% of any problems your having (as described). I believe with verizon to update your software you either dial *211 or *611 and it prompts you to choose what you would like to do. Generally whenever I am out with my buddy he always grabs my phone and does it (saves him complaining on my end LOL). Give it a try.

I think it varies with your state/region. Here in Indiana, it's *228, then option 2.
