Great Reading for EVERYONE!

Hey all,

I just picked up these books at Borders. They are kinda $$ but they are really good reads for EVERYONE reguardless of your experience in riding. Who knows, it may even be able to help out Twisty so that he may be able to keep up with me on the track! (Joking Twisty, just joking. You're a great rider man. I'm a very sarcastic person and like joking around.)

Book 1 : "Sport Riding Techniques" by Nick Ienatsch ( Borders price : $24.95)
Book 2 : "Total Control" by Lee Parks (Borders price : $ 24.95)
Book 3 : "101 Sportbike Performance Projects" by Evans Brasfield (Borders price : $29.95)

The third book, if you have an R6 is great cause they do all the examples on that book. (Partially the reason why I bought it) But all in all, that third book will show you how to do some of the things yourself so you don't have to pay the shops/dealers to do it.

I have the "Total Control" myself and I really enjoyed that book. Talks about everything from lines to take in turns to suspension. Great amount of information.

+ 1 on the Total Control book as well. When I first considered riding again, many people referred me to Twist of the Wrist 2, until I got into some games on Xbox Live and ended up playing with a bunch of Gixxer riders, and one player in particular referred me to Total Control. He said that it had more practical applications to street riding and he highly recommended it.

He was absolutely correct. No wonder I added him to my friend's list.

Great buy, and while you're at the store if you're a noob like me, check out the UK mags, especially BIKE, for the tips section. Great for beginners.

SRT is one of the best! But you also need to get Twist of The Wrist 2! I consider Totw2 and Sport riding techiniques tied for first in usefullness and readability. Total Control is really good too ( lots of nice pics and charts and graphs and all ).

But yeah, pick up twist of the wrist 2 and read it! Twice!

VHS? What is that? 636, you gotta be like really, really old! I don't know what that is. I'm 25 and I don't recall what this "VHS" thing is. Is it an "Area 51" thing?
