Woman sues Lowe's after bird flies into her head

Rhonda Nichols, 40, filed a lawsuit in April against a Lowe's Home Center in Alton, Ill., seeking a minimum of $50,000 for injuries she says she suffered when a bird about the size of a pigeon flew against the back of her head while she was shopping in the store's outdoor gardening department. According to the lawsuit, the bird caused injuries to her head, brain, neck, muscles, bones, nerves, discs and ligaments, and led to the loss of neurological functions and cognitive skills. Said a Lowe's assistant manager, "It's an outside garden area. What are we supposed to do?"

I use to work at Lowe's. It doesnt Rain much in AZ but when It did one day, I actually had a lady complain that it was too wet in the garden dept.. I thought she was kidding so I told her "would you like me to turn off the 'overhead rain faucet in the sky?'" She did not think that was funny, but I dont really care. Lot of snooty non humerous people where I live I guess.

Im sure she was cognative enough to think 'law suit' when the bird hit. If she wins this BS, then ive lost all hope in human beings.

know it! When I first moved from the Bay Area to here 10 years ago, I did not realize most people up here have the "too-cool-for-school" attitude. You just live with it, and laugh at them later.

I can't handle hanging out at "Snottsdale"...I am too hot headed and have a problem controlling what comes out of my mouth sometimes. I can't stand that "holier than thou" attitude.

Dude,

when I was in High School, I didnt get a car till my sienor year. a 1990 Acura legend. Dont be fooled by the name, it was kind of a beater car. ran fine. Just diddnt look fine.
Anyway, a kid in my class for his 16th B-day, received the latest year, tricked out with all the goods $80,000 HumVee H1. $80k for a first car!!! And of course he drove it like a jackass. My school parking lot was a collection of BMW, Mercedes, tricked out tuners etc. It just gets worse every year. No way a kid can pay for this stuff by themselves. The rich-B#@$h parents just go out and buy these things for them. Guarenteed 85% didnt have jobs either. If thats not "holier than thou" attitude/lifestyle/mentalilty, I dont know what is...Pardon the rant...

Please note the 05 Vette in the avatar is the old man's, not mine. I drive a '97 Prelude. I payed for it. He earned & payed for his dream car...TRUST ME.

Snadamo, OUT!

My HS was literally IN the ghetto, smack in the middle. No pretty parking lot here, just alot of old caprices, ltd's, a few classics, bikes, and alot of busted hondas. Me, i had a Tempo with no ac and a melted steering wheel.

LMFAO!

anyway I got a hand me down from my brother when I was 16 it was a 1990 2 door grand am 5 spd. I raced it too much replaced the tranny, clutch, and engine. I started to have probs with it again so I traded it in for a 97 saturn SC2, then I totaled that one, then my dad gave me the 94 firebird, then my lil bro started to drive so I gave it to him, so I bought a new blazer, then I took that one off road and sunk it in a mud pit and ruined the engine so I replaced the 4.3 and traded it in. I then bought a 2 door honda accord tricked it all out, then the tranny went out so I let that one sit since it was paid off, so I went out and bought a new Jeep Wrangler, after haveing that for a year I was tired of it too much noise, terrible gas mileage and slow. Then I fixed my accord drove it around for a while and water got sucked up into the cold air intake and the motor was ticking, so I had to get rid of that too, I then bought a 2000 Volkwagon GTI VR6 Now that was a bad A$$ car, the maitnence was too expensive so I traded that in on my new truck. Oh I got my firebird back last year when my lil bro bought a new car. Thats alot of vehicles in a short time of 8 years. I guess I can add the bike in there too since it is a vehicle.
