That is sweet Shan. A few years back my friend tried to teach me on her acoustic but I just had no patience.

Over ten years, but if you heard me you'd think I started yesterday.

Looks familiar but I can't quite place that one....
Oh yeah, it was near the counter next to mine when I chose that amber top EVH over the red.
FYI - Mine has never been played, properly. If I stare at it long enough I might be able to figure it out...

I must say that I am a bit disappointed by the amount of lint on the tuner in picture 3.
That happens to be an understatement if you really know how meticulous Shan is about cleaning his toys. If you have ever seen his Vette, SV or that guitar up close you would swear that they were only out of the factory bubble wrapper for a day.
If a fly farts in his garage he has to re-wax the car. I thought about playing the guitar once, and he cleaned it like I had a dirty thoughts directed towards the fret board.

I can play a little, but I'm not all that great either, its just one of those things I pick up for a while, then back in the closet it goes.

I became really good at buying guitar stuff.
IE.. Yamaha rgx axe loaded. Schecter through body just plain awesome in emerald green. And a Samick Greg Bennitt Beutifull acoustic /electric, Fender roc pro 1000 half stack that will blow the walls down and other goodies, and I can only play the national anthem? And a little of other things but nothing to get everyone sitting around for.
Funny thing is I wont part with none of it yet. I just like it too much as a hobbie. Right behind My Dodge truck club, And now My motorcycle.. But its there anytime I feel like tunning it.

I sure play guitar. About 12 years. When I moved to AZ about 10 years ago=no friends. So I really learned to play. Went to the music shop and bought a couple books and scales & I taught myself. Love to play rock and blues, but mostly rock. Im your typical rythm guitar. I like to solo, but cant thrash too well, like Kirk Hammett. Im more James Hetfield. I have a Regal Classical Acoustic, Samick strat copy, A Fender Jazzmaster bass (blue) and a Black Ibanez RG 120 I bought when I graduated High School 4 years ago. My amps include a Crate 100 watt bass amp, and a crate 100 watt tube amp. Both are loud as hell. Neighbors hate it I dont have any pics, none of these guitars are worthy of pics. I don't even have pics when I was in a band. However, I know how it goes here, so ill do it for you..............

I've been playing for about 10 years. I gave up electric along time ago. I'm too sloppy, and my fingers tend to lock up after a while. I'm just acoustic now, and i wouldn't have it any other way.

I have an old big body yamaha acoustic, fender strat, probably the reason i gave up electric, I allways hated the strats, give me a tele any day though, and an old (unknown make) hollow body acoustic electric 12 string. It used to sound like heaven, but the neck warped beyond repair now and no amount of adjustment of the truss rod will fix it. I retired it to wall hanger status.

As a side question, what type of music do you prefer to play.

I'm more into folk, country, country-rock, alternative, some punk....well pretty much anything

My guitar is a Ibanez RG270 Jewel blue, with the floyd rose locking bridge, its bad a$$ I just don't play it enough. I have been offered so much money for it, but I won't sell it.

Not to be mean, but are you sure thats a Telecaster in the middle? It looks like a Jaguar, Mustang, or Jagstang. I know Jazzmasters are usually Basses. Im not too savvy on my Fender History. Once again not trying to start a fight, just curious... Nevertheless, a guitar is a guitar and all three are awesome no matter what theyre called

Shan
Everytime you post pics of this guitar (Here or at the other forum) I .
That is a beautiful Guitar .

My father plays acoustic, he has a very old Ovation
I never learned as a child, but I wished I did. I often think about leaning .

I really want this guitar http://www.guitarsetc.net/guitar_el/prs_vette.html
Not sure if I would get yellow, or the Daytona Sunset Orange, but I don't play so

Very nice.

I have a Hamer Slammer like this, but sunburst:

And I also have a dobro acoustic, but the brand slips my mind right now. I really haven't played much for several years. Maybe I'll get them tuned up and start hacking away again. lol

Mainy I played blues, punk, ska, and messed around with some flamenco, which I'd really like to learn to play well. For the most part I'd learn scales and screw around with those rather than learning songs.

I like strats, but I agree, I'd much rather have a telecaster. My dream guitar would be a Gretzch hollow body though. Brian Setzer has these out now:

I like a lot of reverb. lol

JK Dilla, those are badazz!!!
