Yeah, and people say bad things about NYC! Ha! Ha! Ha! I've never seen or heard of that stuff in NYC. Besides some of the stupid incidents with cops, the worst thing that I ever saw was a gang of like 12-16 kids rush a cop sitting at a light, put the car up on blocks with him still in it and they ran off with all four tyres. Now that was funny.

Hey now, I've been reading the UK bike magazines and they spell it "tyres". I like that better just like how people make fun of the way I say words like : "wudda" (water) "newspapa" (newspaper) "pitchas" (pictures) and many others.

I got dumped off in detroit going home from my grandmothers in MI from a detour, I had to pis so bad I walked into a gas station, no public restroom, there were bars on the windows, and bullet proof glass in front of the cashier, I must have went to about 8 other gas stations and same thing. I don't care too much for visiting detroit again!

I wasn't Detroit! Every major city has these problems, I was just stateing that I didn't care for the city, and I don't plan on visiting that particular city anytime soon. Baltimore MD is no better.

Detroit is having some major financial problems and it does have a high crime rate compared to other similar cities (source USDOJ). The city council is also proposing that the city lay off as many as 700 police officers......which I dont see leading to a reduction in crime or improving the quality of life there.

I like it that they asked the city counselmen ride with them (after signing a waiver) and see what they go through every day, before they sign for those cuts...

also, My little brother is about to get on the police force, and he's done about 4 ride alongs, and he's seens some $**** just on those 4 ride alongs, murder scenes, shootouts, high speed chases, drug busts. Their job isn't gravy, and its not going to get any better! Layoff's is totally the oposite of what they need to be doing, they need to be recruiting 700 more officers!
