Since we have so many corvette forum people in here, thought it'd be interesting to get your views on the 2005 vette?

I thought i really wanted one of these. however, when i saw it in person at the race track, i really wasnt that impressed. They cost alot compared to the original c5 in 98 and yes, they are better, but after seeing it only running 13.5 -13.0 at 106mph, i lost all interest. I know they will go faster once you remove the torque management system, but damn, you should have to do that to go 12s.

Dont get me wrong though, the car is great. I just wouldnt spend like 850 per month to own one.

I want the blue one and I know Carrie does to. She loves blue as well. I think thats the only reason she likes me is for my blue eyes. LOL I guess I am screwed if they ever change colors on my like my son Austin has. He had blue eyes and now all of a sudden they are yellow and green.

I had an opportunity to sit in one and speak with the Chief Engineer a couple months ago. Unfortunately I didn't get to drive one, but now they're starting to appear on the streets.

I like the... a lot. Being a C5 owner I can appreciate the upgrades/changes. I hope to pick up a used one in a couple of years when the first lease returns start showing up.

They're growing on me. The steering wheel is atrocious and although popup headlights are dated I wish they kept them. They're going to really come alive once people throw some mods on them.

There's no way in hell I'd buy a first year vette, or any car for that matter. Still, I'm out everyday in my C5 looking for someone in a C6.

Was Corky driving? They're trapping 114-116mph.

Good rule of thumb for any type of vehicle, bike or otherwise ..way too many bugs to work out usually.
