Memorial day!

First off, a Thanks from me to all of our brave past and present. Wish everyone a safe and happy Memorial day.
Be safe.

Now the good stuff, my Wife and I will be meeting up with her girlfreind and her husband for a ride then to some dinner at a seafood joint. We cant wait this will be our first ride since she became prego with our first child and my folks will have him for the day for us to make this trip.
Anyhow it looks like great weather in th forecast and should be a good ride for us.

so sorry. You could brain wash yourself into thinking that it's getting faster while it's sitting there...and then when you see it again you'll be like Whoa!!

Memorial Day

Go to your parties, and go to the beach. And drink your beer, and enjoy all of it....but remember why your able to do that!
Remember all the service men in the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force who gave there lives for you so you could enjoy your day off from work...just remember these gentle heros who gave so much...

Happy Memorial Day

Word. Buddy of mine wrote this:

I have to be honest, before I entered the military I never really understood the meaning behind Memorial Day other than it allowed for an extended weekend. Well its much more than that, it's about an extrodinary group of individuals from all walks of life willing to leave a wife, husband and children behind, to miss the birth of a first child, to give what may be the last hug to mom and dad, to share a tent with 11 people, to shower under a water truck once a week if lucky, to eat 3 meals a day from a plastic pouch, sleep in dirt trenches, to receive mail a month late, to receive that dreaded "Dear John" letter and trying to understand why someone you love would leave you at a time you needed them most.....

So on Memorial Day when you turn on the television, watch a movie, take your daily shower, sleep in that king size bed, go to your favorite restaraunt, go shopping, stop in at Starbucks, hug mom and dad, or give your loved one a kiss...

STOP and think about those amazing individuals that allow for each and every one of us to enjoy the lavish life style we take for granted here in the great USA!!!!!

"We have only died in vain if you believe so;
You must decide the wisdom of our choice,
By the world which you shall build upon our headstones,
And the everlasting truths which have
Though dead, we are not hero's yet
Till the living by their lives which are the tools,
Carve us the epilaphs of wise men,
And give us not the epilaphs of fools."

I thank God everyday for every man and woman to put their life on the line for our great country and our many freedoms.

I try to do my best to show my appreciation by enjoying those freedoms, standing up for our soldiers, flying that American flag, I have those support your troop ribbon magnets on my cars, I'm a member of the PGR, and I will personally thank each and every one of the soldiers in person when I meet them and extend my hand shake as gratitude!
