**NEW** "Hot Deals" Sub Forum

Could we have a new forum dedicated to good deals on stuff like riding gear, clearance/liquidation/closeout sales etc.

This would help a lotta members save money on bike related stuff.

like the FS/WTS stuff... WTB/Wanted....

An idea is to include "DEAL" at the start of the subject thread. The Wanted/For Sale subform would need to be updated w/ "Hot Deals" to identify the location.... but yeah w/ GM

I typically post deals in the 'gear' sub-forum.

Not enough of them being posted as it is, so if a new fourum helps then add it! I like deals!! But don't see it changing so the fs fourum should sufice.

The reason i suggested it is because i have observed a few forums over the years that were able to successfully incorporate the "Hot Deals" sub forum grew in size exponentially.

I only suggested it as food for thought since just about all Computer/electronics related forums have a separate "Hot Deals" sub forum that is very popular with its members looking to get the best deal possible. However to the best of my knowledge not even 1 of the popular Motorcycle Forums has a separate section dedicated to helping their members get the most bang for their buck section. I simply thought that by offering this added benefit would make TWF even more popular and generate more advertising revenue for the maintainance and up keep of the forum.

I'm hearin' what you're sezzin' sir...

But seriously. I can't blindfold myself and run around w/ a stick acting like I'm going after a pinata without hitting some kind of deal for computer hardware/software or some type of "hot deal" on the latest iPod ripoff...

I for one can't honestly say how many motorcycle deals I see on or about different websites... I just haven't had the exposure to them till I came here.

Well I could change the group buy section slightly... but don't want that to get cluttered with "deals" when really the reason there is a group buy section is cause they require alot of communication vs normal purchases....

or ya could go ahead and look at making an honest-to-goodness "deals" section and be done with it. Would we regulate it to just Moto parts and gear or would it be just generic "good deals"?

Another way to do this, GM, would be to include the Deals w/ a "Preferred" vendors area...

See the comment made about the recent Rider Gear issue P_R is having. Just an idea, but what do you think?

Ok, so as in any good admin, when the members ask for something we try to do the best to help.

Hot Deals Forum

If you could please post links to any threads that would qualify the mods and I will get them moved in there.
