I gotta say, I'm not impressed. Why Shan, Why?

Too many ads (can't stand all the animation- very distracting), and now I can't go to just the threads I posted in from Active Topics. That was my favorite feature. And the entire layout is painfully bright now. Unless you can change color schemes somewhere?

only thing i dont like is how ya gotta scroll down to see the newests posts... why not put em at the top where everybody wants them. thats nothing new tho, over all i like.

Cept the job on the log could have been done a little better, can kinda tell it was just stretched over a bit.
You can minimize all the news threads on the front page and see the new posts with less scrolling, I've done that.

Become a premium member and you can get rid of the ads.

As for active topics, it's still there, look in the black bar above the motorcycle.com banner at the top.

I think he means the sub menu that showed up when you clicked on active topics. like "last day" "last 2 days" "threads i posted in" or something like that

So where did you come from? Have you ever posted here before, under another name or something?

Or did the company who bought the forum basically hire you to now be the admin for TWF?

How do I get rid of them?

So far:

Likes:
- color scheme
- buttons in posts
- quoted sections stand out

Dislikes:
- Many other forums have recently undergone this change (getting bought, then big change), and the results have been resoundingly NEGATIVE. From the layout, to new mods/policing, new rules, new attitude, etc... all BAD. I'm hoping this doesn't go that way. I'll hold off upgrading my membership to lifetime until I see what happens.
- Now looks the same as all the others
- Ads everywhere... sucks. Really sucks.
- Current posts are at the bottom of the main page
- Buddy list is gone
- List of currently online members no longer there

What is the difference between new posts and active topics?

It's annoying trying to remember a thread topic to search for.

Example: I got my new bars in yesterday, and now I can't find my old thread!

Can someone explain why the change was necessary? I understand the new skin, but all the ads are killin me. Is TWF hurting for money?
What does the additional money mean for the average user?

Hmm... Looks ok. Actually, it is exactly the same as 600RR.net . The gaping hole on the left side of the page is pretty annoying though. But overall it's pretty good.

will take some getting used to i guess. i'll give it a few tries. i'm so used to the red skin. i liked it better. if i can handle the changes i'll be sending in my $$$$$ for a membership. i guess it doesn't do any good complaining if i'm not paying. i still don't have access to all of my smilies. the whole right side of the page is missing and it won't scroll over to it.
