First literbike!

I just picked my 04 ZX10R up. What a wild child! It's like it doesn't want to take it easy. Just easing on the throttle brings good acceleration at any RPM and any gear.

I still haven't even turned it up about 7k yet which is where everyone says this thing goes bizerk! I'm afraid of it and like the 2k-4k just fine so far.

The incredible thing to me is how small and lightweight it is too! It feels like my old 250! I love this thing already and only have about 10m in the seat!

Don't forget your the one who controls what the bike does. Ride the bike and don't let the bike ride you. It can get real expensive real fast if you give into the urge to feel what she can do to often....

Be careful. The 10r has got a much fiercer bite that that 250. Respect what the bike can do otherwise she will bite you in the ass when you least expect it!

Yeah I've become very comfortable with how it moves and handles but not with the power yet. I'm very happy with it.

I have one of this bike and would say this is an absolute animal bike.If you have good control on it then you will find it fun to ride it.You will love the power and will feel the bike so light that you have never felted before.

Yeah I am very comfortable with it now. I wasn't too pleased with the Bridgestone Battlax front tire though. I have replaced it with a pilot and it is sticky as hell.

The bike is so small. Most people think it is a 600 until they see the badge. In fact, it's smaller than some 600s but it sure does pack a punch. I weight 150lbs (with full armor). That puts the bike at about 550lbs with me on it and a full tank of gas. That's a nutty power to weight ratio and I never find myself cranking it as hard as it could go. I mostly like the handling of it and being that it is so tiny I absolutely love this thing!

The 2004 zx10r is one of my personal favourites (from only 1 ride ) It would be ideal for road or track and is just a pleasure to look at. To this day it is still one of the best looking bikes.

congrats

ZX10's are great bikes, I had a 06 zx10 as a first bike and learned on it. Was most certainly a blast. I'm going on my fourth bike if this deal goes through this week. Be safe and enjoy the new toy!!
