Dad and mom (Both Retired) Share one vehicle so last year He bought A honda Rebel last year just to get around on as an alternative to a scooter and now it isnt enough freedom. He figued he is back into riding so we found this and now its his. Well kept with many extras. A lot of chrome cover add-ons and new rubber in the rear and not bad in the front. Comes with two Helmets, one is new. I am happy for him.

I think the Rebel is now for sale.

That is cool as heck.

I wish my dad would get a bike and ride with me. I think that would be one of the coolest things ever!

My dad use to ahve a Yamaha WAY back in the day. Sold it to buy the family a washer and dryer. Hasn't rode in nearly 30 years sense. I would love it if he did!

My Pop got out of riding also, Last year my wife and I talked him into a Honda rebel (he was looking a scooters )
Now a year later I wanted him to be able to ride a little farther without the fear of making the posted speed! ha ha! So we started searching and found this gem of a bike.
The deal was good. This bikes book was $3150 at 34,000 miles stock. It has 10,000 miles and went for less than book with all of the extras. You can see the studded seat, and radiator chrome covers highway pegs and chromed leavers and heck just about everything was covered w/ some bling, You know the deal g-man. The only down side was he suggests a new front rubber by "NEXT" spring due to age not wear and he also has a chrome oil filter cover he not got to put on. If that is the worst of it then Pop got a great deal in deed.

Well this after noon we are heading to Northern PA to pick this up. I have the trailer ready. It looks like about 2.5 hours one way so it's gonna be a Dad and son road trip. Should be a nice drive in the Pocono's (exept for the weather today up there ) Oh well gonna enjoy it all the same.
I think I might be as excited for him to get as he is. Now if I can just get him to take off the 29th for the Poker run.

Looks like a clean bike. I bought the R1 up near the Poconos also.
My dad and I ride sometimes...but he doesn't ride like I do...so most of the time I end up leaving him for a while while I go have fun on the twisties.

sounds a lot like me and my old man. He bought a new vulcan a while ago and we had to go to Mich. to get it. (about a 5 hour trip) and we took turns riding her home. My dad is a VULCAN NUT!!!! he just left for another 10 day trip to Tenn. with a bunch of other vulcan riders.

Sure did, But It is still just a 750 so I didnt expect to be thrown off. But I will say that v twin has some low end. And Shaft drve is smooth. But for now I will ride continue my FZ1 before I consider a cruiser.
