Very nice for a Kawai. I really like the 190 speedo.

uhhh, what exactly is the screen between the speedo and the tach for? I dont quite understand that, unless its to give you stats like what your 1/4 mile time is, or 0-holymotherofjesus acceleration time.

Nice bike! A fellow BD owner Jakaal, also registered on here... has one as well. Way too sweet!

I think that is a screen that gives you all kinds of info...

Thanks guys.

The screen gives you all the usually info such as an odometer, two trip meters, a coolant temp gauge, a fuel guage, and a clock. It also displays the gear position, which I love. There are modes for average and instant fuel mileage, which is very accurate. It also displays a battery voltage meter and remaining fuel range in miles or kilometers. The tach has a programmable up shift light and a programmable launch lamp for drag racing. Fun stuff.

BTW, the logo is displayed when you turn the ignition on as the gauges are swinging around the dials as many newer bikes do.

Yeah, sweet bike. I just bought a ZX10 and probably should have gotten the 14. Really like the 10, not going to trade. Maybe get a 14 as a second bike for the long hauls.

The ZX10 is a more capable track and twisty bike. Nice colr on the 14 though.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. I plan on buying a new literbike in the spring. Probably a new R1 for 2007, but I'll see which one I like the most. I might go for the CBR1000RR because it too will probably be all new or at least redesigned.

I wouldn't trade the 10 either, but I highly suggest the 14. Its a really smooth, fast, well mannered bike. Sometimes a little too well mannered, which is why I need a literbike as well. I sold my '01 GSX-R1000 not too long ago and miss that sharp edge it had, but after 5 years, I was tired of the bike itself.

Get a TRE. That will cure any good manners that bike might have.

Yeah, I was thinking that. I believe that will give the bike its full power in the lower gears. I was also thinking a full titanium Muzzy race exhaust. It should shed about 30lbs off the bike and give it about 10 more horses.

Here are some comparison graphs with the Hayabusa. Both bikes are stock. You can see the 14 gets trounced in the lower RPM range. You can feel this difference on the bikes as well, especially the dip in torque at about 3200. Kawasaki did this supposedly to make the bike easier to ride on the street at low speeds. After about 5000RPM though, the 14 is insane.

Busa has more power in the low to mids cus of the ignition timing in new ZX14. After about 5k rpms the ZX is a tire smoking rocket. On the strip it's the ZX14 all the way But roll on acceleration gives Busa a headstart. Interesting to see how Suzuki with counter ZX.

Yeah, maybe Suzuki will get brave and change the body design of the busa too. I'mnot holding my breath.

don't take it personal.... not my style.... then again i said that aboutthe busa when it first came out... now that busa has grown on me a bit... i'm just not a fan of the front fairing and the way the tail looks from directly behind...

i heard it goes like a raped ape though...
