My NINJA650R

Finally did it. Put a down payment on my bike. Going to pick it up tomorrow after work!! Stupid fxcking back closed at 3pm today, so the dealer couldn't get through to "verify the funds" Or I would have walked out with it today

About $6100 OTD (including taxes, reg, title, etc.) On a bike with MSRP $6399!!! ('07 Ninja 650R) Going to pay the rest right away, and not deal with payments. I think I did pretty good, considering the best priced Zuk dealer around wanted $5450 for an '06 SV650S. First few mods are already on the list, but I have to wait for my next paycheck to order them. SM bars, some form of button frame sliders, and a homemade fender eliminator.

Pics when I pick it up tomorrow!

Funniest thing is, one dealer thought he was doing me a favor- wanted to hook me up. Between him and the dealer nearer home, I actually worked one from $6399 down to $5614, and the other from $5799 to $5614. When the first guy called me back today, he said he could cut me a deal on sliders. (if i got the bike from him) He was pissed when I told him I just put a down payment in at the closer place.

Stock:

Modded:

Pretty close to the look I'll go for.
I've seen them with lots of aftermarket decals, no decals, powdercoated rearsets, NO2 bottles, grab handles, etc. No end to what you can do with this bike.

Somewhere down the line, I'll put on braided stainless brake lines and better pads, and Powers when I tear up the stockers.

The stock bars are too high, but with some aftermarkets, it'll be perfect!

I hate that I have to work all day before I can go get it. But like I told the dealer, that's how I'm paying for it, so it's cool. What sucks is that I made plans with my girlfriend before I knew I'd have the bike this weekend But she says "go play with your new toy" So I get to play a little, then go play with her

More than enough for a first bike. And there are plenty of mods to get more power out of it. I've heard of race teams running them against SVs and doing well.

Besides, how much power does it take to outride a squid on his GSXR?

Not trying to start anything. For the most part it's the rider, not the machine.
