2000 Ninja 250 "Ninja" decal question...

Is the "Ninja" decal on the lower fairing under clearcoat? I know some decals on various other bikes are. I took all of the decals off of my bike last night and went to do this one and it seems to be under the clear but I want to make sure.

Thanks!

I just painted my 2003 ex 250 It was blue with a yellow stripe. The only decal under the clear was the part on the tank. Try using a hair dryer to heat up the sticker . If it is not under clear you should be able to pick up the edge after it gets warm.If it is under the clear it is very hard to get smooth again for painting.

Yeah, I didn't have any on the tank. All of the decals came off with ease. The "Ninja" decal was under clear and I just had my buddy paint re-paint it red to match the bike. It had purple on it so that needed to be painted anyway. LOL

If its not under clear coat in the sun.. just put the decal towards the sun... in a hour or so it will be loose enough to just peel right off.

The only decal that you can't get off easily is the "Kawasaki" on the tank.

There was and isn't any Kawasaki on the tank of the 2000's. Look at the pic. The Ninja decal is the one cleared over.

On my 500 the only place the graphics or lettering is under clear coat is on the gas tank, the rest is above it.
