01 zx-7r

I am looking at picking up a 2001 zx-7r, just was wondering thoughts on this bike. I had a 96 f3 before this and was wondering how these two bikes would compare. Any known problems on these bikes that I should be aware of?

The ZX-7 is a real heavy bike. If you want a 750 then I'd go with a GSXR but if you want to go with a Kaw, get a ZX-9.

On the other hand, the ZX7R has a very devout following, so if you were planning on ridin' it for a while, then turning around and selling it, chances are you could get top dollar for it on the sale.

thanks for some of the feedback. the reason I am lookin at this bike in particular is because I can get one for what I feel is a very good price. I am 6 feet tall so holding up a heavy bike isn't to much of an issue for me. here is a picture of the bike

i've got a '99.

the bike is very heavy @ slow speeds but very stable @ high speeds and on the freeway.
since your not a nooB you shouldn't have a prob. with it.
as a nooB i regreted getting it, but hey, ya live and learn.

i do like the bike, NOW, and like the fact that i don't see that many of them.
in my area anyway.

mine.......

though the more i drive it around, it feels as light if not ligher than my f3. This really is a very nice riding bike. here is me on my way home from buying it (pardon the shorts and t-shirt, it was mega hot out)

Since being a reformed squid I have found that a mesh jacket is actually cooler than riding in a t-shirt... Keeps the sun off... Think of those guys who walk through the desert in covered head to toe in robes.

Trust me, it's still cooler with the jacket on.
