I sorta always thought you'd end up saying 'fluck it' and getting a supermoto... maybe it's the AV pic.

The new 250s are going like crazy. And I believe the ones on the showroom floor are waay overpriced in hopes that someone will pick one up for more who wants it then and there.

My buddy was going to get a new 250 but the wait was pretty long and he wanted one sooner. Plus he's not really too concerned with looks becuase he is a very new and very timid rider. He did get a pretty nice 2006 250 for $2,300 with super low miles...

I also rode the 250 some. That thing handles like crazy. I can throw that bike around with such ease and you can switch back like nobody's business. Which next April my friends and I are going to the Dragon for a few days. I'm so sporting that Ninja around it with tank and helmet cam.

did they only thorw new plastic on it?? It does look good, but doesnt it have to be fuel injected starting in 08 in Cali to sell there?

Id hope the money in new plastics will also give it a small HP jump too, and some better rubber and stiffer suspension on it as well.

I think they are doing as little as possible. That way they can keep the bikes cheap which is really the real objective of the bike. People mainly buy it as commuter bikes who don't care about running the Isle of Man or their own local version. I think if they threw on EFI, Higher Quality Suspension, etc that bike would jump to $4k or more and that's not what they really want.

It'd be cool to have a EFI and Carbed version for options.

But seriously I want to race a 250cc class. I think that would be a great way to get into racing instead of starting out on a 600 running 100mph+ with a billion other riders around you.

I wouldn't be suprised. Heck if California put a ban on all Carburated vehicles both old and new I wouldn't be suprised

The 08 is going to be about 20 pounds heavier, gets 17 inch tires up front, no cneterstand, no FI, slight increase in torque?.

It's not as utilitarian as the pre 07 ones but one sexy machine that can fulfill most needs for the majoirty of riders out there
