I think they are doing as little as possible. That way they can keep the bikes cheap which is really the real objective of the bike. People mainly buy it as commuter bikes who don't care about running the Isle of Man or their own local version. I think if they threw on EFI, Higher Quality Suspension, etc that bike would jump to $4k or more and that's not what they really want.
It'd be cool to have a EFI and Carbed version for options.
But seriously I want to race a 250cc class. I think that would be a great way to get into racing instead of starting out on a 600 running 100mph+ with a billion other riders around you.
