What to look out for in a used Ninja 250

A buddy of mine is about to buy a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja 250 for his first bike. Price is $2300 in I think perfect condition with low miles. Since he can't really ride he's having me test ride it tommorow for him.

Since it is used I want to know what are some things to look out for to make sure the bike is in good running order.

Such as are the brakes going to be weak even if they are new(compared to your newer SS bikes)?
How will the clutch pull be? On my 94Yamaha XJ600 even with a new clutch the clutch was kind of heavy to pull compared to my 96 CBR600 or other SS bikes.
Will there be any rattles to look out for or rattles not to worry about?
Any places that are known to leak oil?
Or any major problems to look out for.
Plus any other redflags that I might need to check out
Stuff of that nature is what I am needing.

Any help is appreciated.

If the clutch pulls easily, you're ok. in comparison with modern SS brakes where we've got big 4 piston calipers on dual rotors, you'll be on one rotor with pretty much a 1.5 piston caliper, its really two but doesnt feel like it.

if it leaks oil at ALL that new, I'd just walk away. I dont know about the 250, but if its similar to its larger brother the 500, it may have a rattle from the cam tensioner, only noticed at idle sounding like a sewing machine. no big deal its a normal noise.

My buddy got the bike. I wasn't able to test ride it because I got called into work. But he let another guy who actually crashed my old bike while test riding it test it out.

Atleast he didn't get the 01 CBR600 F4 that someone pointed out to him. That would have been a disaster
