yup they work. Does the George Forman grills on the sides have a purpose? Thats the biggest thing I got against the 14. Nice looking bike tho d00d enjoy it n keep the shiny side up.

i really like the 14's especially the front end... but hands down Kawi puts the nicest wheels on their sport bikes.

it looks real nice, the more I look at one, the more I like it, although it serves no practical purpose to me.

They make an aftermarket kit to take the gayness away

That solid color kinda hides the grills. I've seen several with a different color on the grill =

I thought the grills looked goofy for the first few days of staring at them when they first came out. I do like them now. I think the plain panels actually look out of place. When Roaring Toyz did the showbikes for Kawasaki, they painted the grills bodycolor. I was going to do that to mine... then Kawasaki did it for me this year. Thanks Kawi! I would think they are there for aerodynamics and not just "looks".

Did a 120 mile ride on it yesterday. Tough to keep the thing under 4,000 rpm! It has proven to me why I bought it ..... nice and comfortable and heavy enough not to get blown all over the place. It was really windy yesterday with gusts over 40mph. I might look into risers from Twisted Throttle. My neck might appreciate it on the longer rides (200-500 miles) I like to do.

SERIOUSLY, seen the one on the cover of this month's issue of two wheel tuner? that gixxer 1k tail does unspeakably good things for the 'busa's general looks

Yeah, the 14's bodys better than the busa, and the color matching gills dont stand out bad like the black ones last year!

Factory tail with a fender eliminator. Got some slip-ons from Two Bros on the way. They just released the 08 model Friday. The exhaust was changed this year from the 06-07. Gotta get some miles on this week at least to 600. Get the 1st service completed and let it stretch its legs some.

Not sure on the mpg yet. The display shows an average of 35 point something. If it is like anything else I've owned with a mpg display, it's probably optimistic.

I'll post some picks w/Two Bros installed (I ordered polished - I don't care for the weave pattern on the carbons and the polished is about $200 cheaper).
