250 to a 98 zx7r transition

Ive been looking to get another bike this season since i spent some time on the 250 last summer. I originally wanted a cbr600 but those are kinda pricey out here when i can find an f2 or f3. Found two zx7r im looking at, one with 10k miles [supposedly] and another one with about 20k. They're both in decent conditions. I was wondering if anyone had any pointers, inputs, stories, regarding the jump from a 250 to a 750 besides the obvious power difference.

Holy thread hijack batman!!!!

I ride an 02 ZX7R. Love the bike. You should be OK if you remember that it will rev just as fast as the 250 (maybe faster really short stroke motor), BUT it has 100 more ponies. Try to get one without Pilot Pro's on it. You want a lower profile tire. The PP's make the bike want to "fall" into corners. It can make an otherwise very stable bike feel unsure in a corner.

And watch for poor jetting ie the Dynojet kit, and leaky fork seals.

thanks for all the imput guys, i really do appreciate it! Ive been doing some research on the bike and i do see that it does have quite the following, not sure how much of an issue the seat height might be since the ninja was 29" and i was able to flat foot it and this one's 32 i believe so maybe i'll have to tip toe or balance it on one foot.

Maintenance-wise though, is it safe to assume it'll be as dependable as the 250? and rountine maintenance like periodic oil changes etc? if i get this i'll be taking the advanced MSF on it, and getting a set of leather pants which i need sicne i risked it in jeans last season.

This is the paint scheme of the one with 20k:

the one with 10k is all black.

yeah meng its been rough around here lately, this damn heart condition turned out to be more expensive than i thought it would be. but hey im ok! and should be back on the road before the season starts up here [march 1st] so hopefully i'll land this bike. The one with 20k is going for about 1600 and the one with 10 the shop is asking for 2500 i get my tax return next week so im shooting for the 1600.
