Oh, yeah, I'm fine.
It was just rider error - I was getting ready to lean into a right curve and saw sand. Sand seriously freaks me out, so I went to slow down (upright at the time, not leaning yet) and grabbed too much brake. The front wheel locked and sent me flying off it, superman style.
I was more upset about the bike, since it had yet to be dropped. The usual stuff - the left mirror broke off, the shifter bent, the footpeg broke. I ordered:
- new mirror
- new footpeg
- new shifter
- new upper left fairing piece (I'm anal, I'm not looking at scratches on my bike)
- frame sliders (a couple of weeks too late
, but at least they'll be on now)
My body hurt for a couple of days, but I was wearing full gear and had no injuries or scrapes at all. Couple of bruises.
The funny thing about riding is, even when your confidence is pretty high, you can be humbled real quick.
