Track Day at NHIS 8/28/2007

Ok, so I'm going to do my first track day on August 28th.

I'm doing it through Tony's Track Days and it's being held at New Hampshire International Speedway.

He has full instruction available and splits riders up into groups based on ability. Also, he requires minimum bike prep (clamp your oil filter, remove mirrors, tape up your lights).

It is a full day starting at 7am, so I am going to head up the night before and stay at the Red Roof Inn that is near the track. I'm trailering the R6.

The website is tonystrackdays.com and it has plenty of information on it about how the day works.

Later when I get more experience maybe I will start doing the Penguin track days there, but I figure this is a good starting point for my first time.

If you pay 30 days or more ahead it's 30 bucks cheaper. Since I'm leaving tomorrow I'm signing up today.

Any other New Englanders interested?

Well done, mate, you'll haxe a ball!
Take it easy and ride at your own pace. There will be people who are faster than you. It's their job to get around you. Ride your line, be smooth, and all will be well.

I would love to do a track day but there are a few things holding me back....

* I do not have a trailer, Truck, or even a car that can tow a trailer.
* The money just isnt there to buy new saftey gear
* In the middle of the week makes it a no go for me I am all out of vacation time and just cant takea day off.

It does look like fun but It just isnt in the cards for this season... Ill have to settle for carving up the mean streets of Mass.... Let us know how you do.

BTW Chris are you back from Canada ehhh.

Buy a used set of leathers and an extra wheel chock, we can double up on my trailer. Tell your boss to go fluck himself.
