I cant believe they would arrest a doctor on the way to perform emergency surgery.

Just shows the discrimination against the motorcyclists.

take everything you read with a grain of salt.... the "doctor" most likely talked to his boss to make up the story to get out of the ticket...

I don't take any leagal advice from a voice on the internet... I'm smart I get mine from the peoples court... (sadly judge Whopner was more acurate then most legal advice on the web)

just ride safe and if you get busted........"Deals" with it...

I dont think police ramming a motorcyclist with their car to stop him killing the rider is considered getting "busted" and dealing with it

You can do records searches on that incident and document it. And there's no arguing that that semi-truck in the vid is more of a hazard than most bikes.

what happened in that case is tragic and I believe that the fallout from the incident is well deserved by the P.D. Just watch the advice saying that you can speed on hte dragon and not get a ticket because toen and state police don't have jurisdiction on the dragon. The statements like that I am not willing to risk my liscence and bike on a nameless faceless voice giving me legal advice..

I agree that those trucks should be banned. They need to post signs saying any vehicle over 20ft long is not allowed on the road or any vehicle towing a trailer longer then 15ft is not alowed either. that last one will keep all the Harley Riders off the dragon... they all tow their bikes there...

Just gas it and fly, so many sport bikes ride it they wont find you.
Either suck it up and pay the fines/etc, or run.

I've had a few run ins with a truck on the dragon. Last year was probably the worst one. I was on a night run with Ball_Sak when I came around a turn and BAM a big f'n truck was stuck in both lanes! I was able to slow down enough and go around the side.

Trucks are bad. Motorcycles in your lane are bad. Cages that can't drive, so they are all over the place are bad. Trees that fall into the road are bad. Forest Fires started by idiot tourists that can't put out their damn cigarettes are bad. Rock slides are bad. Basically every run on the dragon is completely different. It's not all that safe, thus why it has the whole "Tame the Dragon" advertisement. Basically if you ban anything from the road, it will be tore up in a few years and become an interstate. It is already the main choice for interstate 3, but saying the road is incapable of providing a safe crossing for commercial traffic would be a death blow to it. Live with it, it's not a track. If you want a track experience, go to a freakin track.

Running from the cops on the dragon is completely stupid, don't do it.

Yeah that truck driving thru the gap thing is really dangerous. But I will say this much... that guy driving the truck was pretty good and was making good speed. But he shouldn't be there.

As far as the rest of the info... grain of salt like already stated...

Moved the SE section.
