I'm a Sgt./E-5. Stationed at 29 Palms, CA. Been in for four years and I get out next friday.
Sgt E-5, USMC. Two tours in Iraq, with 3rd Bn/6th Mar. Are you wheeling down airport road in that pic? It looks familiar. I hate the stumps, that place is a dump, and it smells horrid. A lot of cool riders out there though. And almost all of them are senior enlisted, or mustang officers.
i am not, but my father is retired army. he served in desert storm, honduras, bosnia. he now rides with the Patriot Gaurd Riders. much respect to all that serve, or who have served. most all of my family is military. my aunt is retired usmc warrant ofc. cousin is ofc in the airforce. another cousin is army ranger.
grandfather is retired army served in the korean war. and another uncle is retired army.
she kind of is the high maintenance type. sometimes, apparently everyone she talks to thinks chicks who ride are like macho ish or something i don't know. i try to tell her that alot of the girls i know that ride are alot more mellow and down to earth than most girls i know. and i like to ride beside her than with her the bike handles diff and she gets pissed when i speed up, i mean like she freaks when i go over 75 hahaha
no kidding, have u ever rode on the back of most of the newer 600s? it feels like u could jus fly off the back your way up higher then the driver with nothing behind you and no control over the bike. Lot scarier feeling sometimes then just being the driver.
I've never been enlisted, but I did some work during the summers at Natick Soldier Center developing autonomously guided cargo airdrop systems... a DOD employee I guess I was... CAC card and all though.
The systems we designed are currently getting used overseas.
