Just moved to NC.

Hey everyone, My name is Chris I grew up in New York. I have been riding for roughly 2 years now. I still own my first bike which is a 2007 GSX-R 750, midnight blue.
Before that I have had little to no experience on 2 wheels, not counting a pedal bike. I learned to drive on/do drive a standard and I think that cut the learning curve greatly for me personally, knowing what it feels like to engage a clutch.
I followed a girl down to Greensboro, North Carolina where she is attending UNCG. We have been together almost 6 years and its too late for me to get out now...

Anyways if anyone knows where I can find some fun routes to take or any weekend rides I would greatly appreciate the info.

Ride safe,
Chris

A couple weeks ago we took a trip back home. We live in an apartment complex and according to the office some bikes have been getting stolen during storms. It was going to storm that weekend... this was my solution. The woman was not amused...

Welcome to nc! I'm here in Greensboro as well,a graduate student at UNCG. Not far from hear, you might want to head west, going towards hanging rock. I haven't taken the bike out there yet, but did the cage out there for a hike, and it looked like a great bike road.

There are also some decent roads if you get out of the city. Like taking 70 out east towards Raleigh, or 220 towards Stokesdale and to Winston. Once you get out of the city part, you should be in good shape for more fun roads!

Yea we went to hanging rock and i enjoyed it in the car, couldn't imagine on the bike. But that's definitely 1 place I need to go.
I take 40west to work everyday, now that's a fun trip.

29N and 52N (in Winston) might be fin also. I haven't been up either in a long while, but both are older highways.

I still think 220 to 68 to 150 should be a fun ride through the "country" areas between the cities.
