ticket hasn't shown in mail yet

i got a speeding ticket a while back in mid october by (i think) a chp and still havent received it in the mail yet. i havent got one since 5 years ago, so i dont remember exactly how long it takes. my l.a.p.d. cousin says if it isn't in the mail in a month or so, the cop probably didn't push the ticket all the way through (sending in the violation and getting it processed).
but then again, i moved and haven't updated my info w/ the dmv. but the post office is still forwarding mail from my old address to my new, so i should recieve it if it was sent out.

anyone can help me out on this?

You probably have a warrant out for your arrest. Cancun has always sounded nice.

Contact that police dept and find out what court to contact to find out about it. If it was processed and lost in the mail... they should be able to tell you

The ticket you signed had the court date on it. Under California law, you must appear on or before that date... Trust me, it has happened to me TWICE in a lifetime! And both times my license was suspended...

when you get a ticket it is only a "courtesy notice" which means if they are backed up they will usually not send you one and you will have to just call the court.

*update*

ok so i went to the supreme court and they asked me, "why weren't you here last month?" i say, "oh i lost the copy of the ticket and i didn't get any in the mail, so i didn't know when or where to go." i followed it w/ lots of small talk and basically a$$ kissing. so she let me off the hook for not showing up. but the tab still remains @ $280 for going 90mph in a 60 and $30 for traffic school.
so now its just happy riding...

$280 isn't too bad for 30 mph over .......depends on what mood the officer is in. I'm surprised they didn't have a warrant out on you.

actually, i was going about 110ish but the c.h.p. officer clocked me in @ 90. either: his radar wasnt working right, i might of slowed down, or he was being nice. (it was the 3rd IMO) so yea i guess 280 aint bad, but still thats $280!!

i extended the ticket, so i didn't pay the ticket or the school yet. but yea my dumba$$ didn't think about appealing the ticket. i was just worried about them tacking on any type of fees or getting into any sort of trouble for missing the court date. but surprisingly i didnt get any fees or trouble at all.
