Any newbs in SE Michigan want to get together?

I need to hit up a big empty lot and spend a day practicing at low speeds and wanted to see if any other newbs wanted to join me.

Not sure why I put "newbs" in the title. I am the newbie. If anyone wants to ride with a new biker in the area hit me up.

Hey man, would be glad to help ya out, but I'm way too busy this weekend, and going to be out of town next weekend. Like rider said, our board is local to SE Michigan, also Cycleforums.com has a quite active MI section. Where ya at?

I am in Rouge, just down the road from you. I also ride with a local (to metro detroit) group as well. In addition to WOS, cycleforums (MI), check out www.detroitsportbikes.com as well. There's several downriver guys on there.

Thanks! My problem is I am new and on a Ninja 250 so I don't want to ride with a bunch of people and piss people off if I am going too slow or doing something wrong.

Dont worry about them. Ride your own ride and if they get pissed, you dont want ride with them anyway.

We had a ride this past Sunday to Mr.Z's in Memphis. It was about 35-40 bikes. We had 4 seperate groups, that left at 10-15 minute intervals, made up of riders of similar skill set. Basically, there were those that rode at a faster pace and those that wanted to just cruise. We also had a few cruisers mixed in there. No one in DSB will get pissed, it won't be tolerated. We preach ride at your own pace, period.

I hear DSB is having a bike night at hooters in Lansing tonight. You may want to ride over there with those guys.

Thanks Rider. That was a little far for me to ride. It's like 2 hours from my house and I worked late anyway. Thanks for the heads up though.
