Being Canadian I understand most of what was writen, a correction about the chinook they referring to in the text, it refer to a warm air wind coming from the rockies that blow east on Calgary, Medecin Hat & sometime as high as Cold Lake a CF airforce base

Welcome to the board, eh.. I could say more but the last time I chugged some Molson's across the river and performed unseemly acts of degradation I almost was banned from Canada, eh.. It was aboot 6am before I got home, eh..

Talking canadian beers

Molson ex is OK but Molson Dry gives atrocious head hach just like Labatt blue, if you have the chance try Big Rock beers from Alberta or Sleeman beers from Ontario (Honey Brown ) or heaven better Unibroue beers from Quebec; Blanche de Chambly(white beer), la Maudite 8% , Trois Pistoles 9% (black beer like guiness but stronger), U an excellent pilsner and last but not the least Keiths beer from New Brunswich. And by the if you want some french expressions or sentences for the girls in Quebec I'll be please to to help in the process!!

Canadian roads

Jeep84 is right about our roads (specially in Quebec), they are in bad shape except for the highways but who wants to ride on highways? Sure if you want to make a speed record between Quebec & Montreal I can understand.... But for the non-highways roads you may have some bad surprise, better ask the locals about the rideability of the .

to claim or not to claim

The thing is not to claim that we are canadian, we are living there and when we compare our situation with other countries we can find out that life is good in Canada, Our governement haven't done any budget deficit in years (even making surplus!!!), all of the population is cover by the health care system, the unemployement rate haven't been that low in decades, college is not free but lot less expensive then many countries, and best of all we have excellents beers!!! So there is no shame of being canadian and we can even be proud of it.
