Komodo isn't well known outside of the racing circle, but they make some good stuff. I saw their riding suits for the first time when they came to California Speedway for AMA Superbike back in April 06. Very reasonably priced and high quality.

I've been using and re-selling all of the Komodo products for about 6 months now and it's TOP notch...

Depending on what level of suit you are looking for the FX suits are inline with what you would find AMA level riders wearing custom...

Here's some of there other suits (outside of the FX setup).

Definitly dig their stuff. Kinda hate that they don't have a 2pc. suit. Guess you just have to buy the stuff seperatly.

After all I do need a new jacket pretty badly. When I bought mine the dealer told me what size they thought I needed and me being a newbie at the time just trusted them. And well, it ended up being more like a parachute than a jacket... Since then I have tried to force myself to save money and keep wearing it. Problem is that because I don't like it all that much I tend to just ride in a sweatshirt a lot. After my last wreck I need to get one I like so I will be more apt to wear it all the time. These jackets are great for the price so I might already have myself talked into it.

Yeah, I was at my BMW dealer last night picking up my throttlemeister and tried on a jacket there. I'm looking for a fully ventilated summer jacket with a european fit. I don't want it rubbing and chaffing when I'm sweaty and riding all day. He kept trying to get me to buy a parachute also.

All BMW outfits are European fits and that's why they don't fit short & fat people like me too well. Go back and tell those silly fools to show you the Venting Machine outfit. It's fully meshed jacket & pants, but it ain't the typical mesh materials that other el cheapo manufacturers make.

Anyway, I had the opportunity to examine some of Komodo's outfits at the AMA Superbike race at California Speedway. Very impressive stuff.

I really don't understand why anybody would bother to pay 1200+ for a Dainese or AlpineStar outfit when for the same or not much more you can get a heck of a custom suit. Granted that the custom suits don't have "titanium" shoulder plate and plastic vents...

I think it was the sales guy. They mostly sell Cortech, they just added Teknic, Plus he wanted to sell me what was on the rack, and I needed one size smaller so he'd have to order it. But there is a guy about 8-10 miles from here with exactly what I want, in my size so I'll get over there next month and buy from him.

I called the company to see if they sell direct, they said for now U have to go through a dealer. But none of the local dealers I contacted stock them.

I'm going to go ahead and order the one I posted above from one of the local dealers..but not till end of Feb or early march. I'll post review & pics soon as I get it...stay tuned.
