I gotta check, but I know a guy that works at a gear store that sells the Plus' and Pros (the ultimate boot. A lot of GP riders have them) half off. I could get the Plus' for 150 and the Pros for like 175. I gotta run an errand, but I'll check later.

Wow, thanks for looking out ya'll!!! Yeah, DL, if you can check on that for me I would probably buy them NOW too!!!
maybe 2 pairs, one for me, one for hubby...
edit again...and a few more people....

I am so irritated...i went to the local dealer here who carries a few pair of boots...they were soooooo unhelpful!!! Everytime I go in by myself, i cant even get them to help me (but let me go in with the guys and they are more than helpful to the men!!)...and asking questions is like pulling teeth...i kept telling him I want a racing/street boot and he kept waving in the general direction of a shelf of touring (3 total pairs) and the icon super duties, it took me like 5 mins to convince einstein that, no, thats not what I wanted, and yes, i needed asistance...the only thing he could tell me was go to Birmingham or Jennings...:wow: friggin butthead...

I screw over cycle gear all the time in knoxville by trying on stuff there. They are real nice, but a lot more expensive than the deals I find on the internet.

If dlit can get you those boots, that is a great deal and I would definitely go with that. If he can't I would still look for the plus' online because the 4's suck.

well chunker butt at my dealer told me he could get me a lil better deal than retail on the stella smx4, but if it had to returned he would charge me the restocking fee...i dont really care about that so much, but since ya'll are raving bout the plus' I will def get those if DL can get me a decent deal!!!

I put the word in on size 37's. I'll let youknow what he says. You'd have to Paypal me the cash and I'd have to ship 'em to ya. They don't have an online store yet. Sorry, that's the only way I can think of. But you've dealt with me before. You know I'm good.

The 3's are a lil better for standing /walking, but that's the least of my concerns when shopping for riding boots. Protection is the main concern.
I'm with you on that. The 3's are fine for standing...but I only wear them on the bike...so not a big deal if they weren't.

I replaced the stock pegs with aftermarket pegs w/ no gigantic peg feelers.

No, this is a different guy.

He's checking with his manager today, Rae & Pucky. I'll let you know.

I got a hit on some SMX-3's. Here's what she said.

"I have one pair of black smx3 for sale at $239.99 in a size 37 and then of course you get %50 off that price so they are like $120 or so. let me know if you want them so I can hold them for you."

I have them on hold. I think Pucky was the one who wanted the 37's. Here's a pic of 'em...

FYI people. I can get these deals all the time, so just ask and I'll see what I can do for you.

She didn't mention 38's. I did ask her for both sizes. I'll ask her again.
