Handy Dandy

I recently joined a sportbike club that has regular Sunday morning rides, weather permitting (usually around 300+miles in the country side) & I went on my 1st SMR last weekend. It was a blast!

But, during the ride one of the rider's Kawi caught something from the road that punctured his radiator. Luckily some of the members had something to temporarily patch it up called Quiksteel Epoxy Putty, I realized that I was unprepared for such rides.

So, I'm now putting together handy things to have when on such rides, here's some of the things that come to mind:

Ride Map
Cell phone (with ICE contact)
Contact list of other members on the ride
Leather-man tool
Flat repair kit
Quiksteel (Epoxy Steel Putty)
Duct tape
Bottled water
Shield cleaner kit
Tank bag
Cash
GPS

What things have U found to be very handy on rides?

Currently bikeless
Was 007 CBR 600RR
was '98 YZF 600R

I have did too many of these rides to count. When I use to go... for myself...
1 credit card/debit card
1 AAA towing/road side service card
1 cell phone
some cash

That's it... that will get most things done....

Air pressure guage
condums
box of pu**y
4mm allen wrench
camera...still or video
10/12mm wrench
rear axle tool
chain wax...for the dumb asses who don't know when to lube theirs

You can pick out my serious responses. Of course you'll need a back pack. I personally hate rolling hard with a back pack. Let the designated sweeper wear the back pack.

Phone
wallet <-- includes AAA RV card
tire repair kit & co2 cyl.
Bike tool kit

-----------------------------and for rides of more than 2 hours.
hot hands
Toasty toes
rain gear
Baclava
extra gloves

And I never ride with a backpack. I've gotten a rig that swaps out the rear seat or cowl for a small tail bag. Works great.

i always take my wallet and cell phone, and for most men, that pretty much covers the credit cards and all that stuff that is aforementioned. i dont go so far out of my realm that i would ever really "NEED" a map. if i were going to an area i didnt know i would definitly pick up a laminated map of the area from the local gas station. Think i will definitly pick up a few of those things that have been mentioned though, flat repair and quicksteel.

And a bathroom I can play baseball in-
And a king size tub big enough for ten plus me "

Maps ha only [email protected]#sies need maps, I carry my wallet which includes my triple a card and some money I take my cell phone along as well. I have not been on alot of group rides but a list with all participants numbers is a good idea. I went riding with some buddies when I first started riding and a guy that was with us bailed for the day without saying anything; needless to say we spent the whole rest of the day looking for him when A simple cell phone call probably would have solved that problem.

I ride a Kawi, so I dont need repair tools.

Wallet (cash/debit card/proof of insurance/ID)
Cell phone
tire repair kit
bottled water
exta visor (dark smoke for day riding/ clear for night riding)
hat (to hide helmet hair when helmet comes off)
sunglasses

Thats about all I need.
