Exclamation New chick-gear for Spring '07......

Just in time for bike week, Icon and Power trip have some new offerings for us girls!

Check out Icon Hooligan 54 Mesh Jacket…. In black, blush and lavender….

http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...t--614908.html

(word to the wise, however… a friend tried it on, and said surprisingly it ran VERY large… she normally wears a large, and had to go down to a SMALL to get it to fit, and even then, she said the sleeves were a bit puffy/bulky…. I recall this same problem with the Team Merc jacket, so try before you buy!)

Also, just saw something in 2 Wheel Tuner about the new Joe Rocket/Power Trip “Angel” textile jacket…. Very clean/simple white textile, with a couple patches/detail areas in light grey…. Not yet on Power Trip’s website, but keep an eye out!

BOTH of these will be finding their way into my gear clloset...

Nice, I am actually getting the 2007 ICON Bombshell leathers Friday!!!! But I like the look of those other jackets! Finally making some good ladies gear!!!

On the size thing, I wear a large in the JR jackets but a Medium in the ICON, I was shocked to say the least considering based on the size charts I should wear a large but the medium was perfect!!

i love the black icon jacket. i think icon just might soon replace JR as my fave gear. now if they'd only make colors that match the bike. i'd be in heaven!

when you turn your bike on, does it return the favor?

I am really loving the ICON stuff too, they are def making them more geared towards women and being feminine shaped versus being man shaped with boob room!! I love my JR Trixie, but the ICONs make me feel more like a girl!

See, in Icon Textiles, I wear the same size as my JR/PT, but in leather? Forget it... Icon leathers don't fit me through the ... er... chestal region.

hmmm, unfortunately I am not as blessed in my chest regions as you, my main issue is really long arms and broad shoulders, thus I typically wear a Large in every brand...but I tried on my GF's Icon leather to test the sizing and amazingly enough it was long enough and broad enough while leaving me sufficient room on the inside. She however is of smaller stature but larger chest proportion, so its a lil big in every area BUT the chest region!!! But snug/loose fit and all, she looks pretty darn HOT in her jacket!!! (Whereas in my JR i feel like a roly poly as it isnt as fitted to my body, i need to get it altered but havent gotten around to it)

MORE cute stuff....

Just ran across this one.... Not familiar with the brand, but the thickness of leather/construction/armour is on-par with other major brands.....

The black/cream is similar to the JR Trixie in the same color combo, but I like the little detail areas on the side of the chest and the sleeve...

I would think so, too, unless it's either got a button down or a way to bring it up (and secure it) for added warmth at the neck.

There's an Alpinestars textile with a similar collar, if I recall correctly...

Welp....

The new Cycle Gear in Daytona has TONS of the new Icon mesh.... Nuh uh ... not gettin' it. SUPER cute, but the fit is horrible. When you get it so it fits around your chest/torso, the ARMS are quite literally about 6" too long, and really wide/bulky. Also really huge through the shoulders (it "hunches" up). So when you go down a size or two so that the arms fit well, then it's WAY short and small through the torso.

I did speak to the guy at Helmet Shop in Daytona about the new Power Trip "Angel" jacket... it (as well as some other new designs) will come out in April. Joe Rocket also has a TON of new gear and casual wear coming out.

Also spotted a new Icon helmet.... there'll be two of them -- both limited editions (there's going to be 700 of the white "Good" and 1300 of the black "evil" produced). They're similar to the "Damnation" in that it's an anime-type ... well... sexy devil/angel graphic. But then there's a removeable decal (like a ribbon/banner type) over the chest of them, that you can opt to remove to bare their breasts. They're actually REALLY cute... we might order them just to have as decorations in our den/motorcycle room.

Also, saw some great new perforated leathers from Frank Thomas, in hot pink or black. Very clean, simple styling, but nice. And sized more specifically (i.e. 2, 4, 6, 8, versus small, med, large).
