Helmet Sizing.

So i picked up a KBC full face helmet online, and it fits my head great. But it appears that the helmet is big. It looks to big for my body, and doesn't really look that great. I notice other riders, and their helmets seem to look great on them, but mine just looks big. Is there different thicknesses for the helmets? Does it depend on the style? I'd like to buy a new helmet, that is maybe a bit thinner, and just looks more appropriate. helmet Recomendations welcome! Thanks!

You need a helmet that fits snug..If its lose a couple of things could happen. 1. it could spin on your head in teh event of a crash. and 2. it could not do it job due to so much space in it...I hope that helps.

Well we dont wear gear to look great..Its designed to be there in the event of an accident..If your un happy with it, i guess you could get something youd feel better with.I have an HJC that i wore for years..Its a lil big but i didnt have the money to buy a new one...And i didnt feel the need to "Keep up with the Jones" So to speak.

watch it keyboard commando......

anyways...yes some companies make other size helmets that have different shell sizes...I don't know if KBC does this...I think they use the same shell and change out the lining.

check around for the companies that make different shell sizes.

i wasn't pointing it at you Brizz

It was at the new guy..

Saverok's Internet Dictionay reads:

Keyboard Commando- someone who shoots off at the "mouth". especially one who doesn't know what they are talking about....or is really new and does it... this is the most common example.

didnt mean 2 sound offensive if i did.... but anyway, i did a little research online, and i cant seem to find a site that states the shell size and what not. I mean i would go 2 the stores and try some helmets on and see how they look, but the selection sucks(atleast where i live anyway). Thanks for the help.

Its all good.

Usually the more expensive brands such as Shoei and what not use different shell sizes.
