Joe Rocket GPX Boots

I like 'EM!

HUGE change of my street stompers- for the better! No more accidentally kicking a downshift before I upshift.

I was a little worried when I ordered that an 11 wouldn't fit right, but these are perfect. The shift pad is nice, and the toe (not a toebox) is thin enough to slide right off the peg and under the shifter. The entire foot is nice and snug on my foot, while the calf offers plenty of room for even my street jeans. The strap across the ankle has a very interesting buckle, in that it has the normal ratchet and quick release functions, plus a cool little 360 degree thing. For this you actually turn the release lever in full circles, screwing the strap in. Not sure how strong this will prove, but the velcro main closure is wide and strong!

Not too bright with colors or "rocket" logos, thank goodness. Hate to have my A* jacket and Shoei lid clash with my JR boots Good flexibilty, and comfortable enough to walk around in. Softer rubber sole for good traction, but I'll have to see how it holds up resting on the pegs. I stomped around the house a bit as soon as I pulled them out of the box, and while I collected my gear for a quick ride.

Overall good boots, with integrated hard armor up the calf, and a raised Achilles protector and a reflector on the back. Haven't tested the toe sliders yet, but they're replaceable. Definitely worth the $55.80 I paid for them (including shipping).

for the crappy pics I need a good camera!

NewEnough.com bargain basement. At the time they had 7,8,9,10,11. Now they have sizes 7 and 8.

My boots came from newenough yesterday. I'm happy with them as a whole but you can't wear any knee/ shin protection like the Icon field protector with these boots. Found out the hard way.

I was born with a crotch rocket

Shouldn't have been a hard lesson. These are meant to be worn with leathers...tucked inside the boot.

I think they're true to size, and maybe a little snug- which I like a lot. In street shoes, I'll wear anywhere from a 10-12 depending on the brand. 11 in Nike or Adidas. The Sidi B2s that I tried fit me well, and they were a 42/10.5.

My street jeans are pretty loose, so they work over the boots- but it doesn't feel right. Too much unused space in the calf. I tucked my jeans in, but then they kinda flop around over the top of the boot- Oh so stylish.

I just ordered these in a size 8, since 7 will definitely be too small for me. (I wear around a 7.5) I'm hoping these will fit me well. I needed to get a cheap pair of boots for MSF next month... I'll post pics up too when they arrive.

but you don't need motorcycle boots for the MSF- just normal over the ankle hiking shoes/boots.

Haha, I know... I don't have any over the ankle boots so I would have needed to buy some anyways... and it was a good deal!

Here are the pictures as promised!

One thing I don't like about this boot is that the velcro can barely fit around my massive amazonian calves. (Even without anything tucked in!) Oh well it was cheap and the size 8 fit me just great!

I'm wearing my work pants haha...
