This is why tennis shoes are not even safe when you DONT crash.

i went out with my Gf on the back monday and rode around lake tahoe... was passing a minivan that was going about 50 or so, soon as i was just behind the bumper about to move over to pass it throws a stick up from the tire, I was probalby at about 70 mph or so, the stick hit my right foot... hit the seem in the shoe where its 2 layers of leather thick.. and still STUNG like a bastard.... now a few inches of my foot is black and blue. my track boots wouldnt even prevent this from hurting like a bastard. I think for the street i need a thick @$$ boot like an icon one. Heres a pic... 25,000 or more miles of riding and this has never happened before. Only suggestion is a boot thats super thick on the top and sides and to scoot over sooner beofre u get very close.

HMM k pics to follow when i can find the USB cable... i hate when ppl move stuff... Why does cleaning involve moving commonly used stuff i need on a weekly basis... Need to make sure the roomates know if i use it to never move it.

Damn, that sucks, bro. I thought this post was going to be about laces catching on the peg when you go to put your foot down, causing you to lose balance and drop the bike.

I have 'em on the outside on the top of my feet... My ex used to file them down and apply liberal amounts of lotion to them...

icon boots work really well... had a piece of re tread hit my foot on the highway, i was doing about 80... knocked my foot off the peg, and i think pulled a couple muscles in my leg, but not a single bruise to my foot... their tough as hell
