Got the rest of my gear...

Well, I got the rest of my gear

However, the jacket is at the tailor getting the zipper reversed so that it will zip to the pants (since they went in opposite directions), so I don't have real pics of it yet. I'll put them up later or something.

AGVSport Pilot Jacket (great looking, nice thick leather, hell of a jacket for the price):

^With Dainese Backspace back protector (aluminum and hard plastic, but still bends with you back since it's like the back of a beetle (if you know what I mean)):

Teknic Chicane leather pants with hiprotec hip armor inserts (These pants are one hell of a deal for the quality you get. The hip armor is nice and thin and flexible but still CE approved):

Sidi Vertigo Air Boots (these things are so friggin comfortable, forget A* boots, SIDI FTW!!!! These are the same price as the A* smx-plus and beat them HANDS DOWN in all categories (I tried on both)):

Here's a pic of me in the new pants and boots:

Here's a pic of me fully geared up, just using my JR textile instead of the new AGV leather jacket since it's at the tailor:

The only thing I need to get now to do a trackday is some full gauntlet style gloves, since they usually require those. I am doing a track day on the 28th of august, so I'll get them before that. Any suggestions for the gloves? I was looking at the A* GP pros...

Also, this means that for a passenger when I am wearing my gear I now have a spare helmet, gloves, and textile jacket to protect them, which is good.

I'm all ready for my trip! I'm going to Nova Scotia for 10 days and bringing the bike with me. Twisty roads, great scenery, no traffic, no cops. Can't beat that chit. I leave early thursday morning.

The hiparmor they have at kneedraggers, it actually fits perfectly in the chicane pants hip armor pocket. 12 bucks each side or so.

The Sidi's are vertigo airs, they are 275. I got them for 240. I have some screws in my ankle and don't want to f&*k around when it comes to foot/ankle protection. Well worth the money. They fit like a comfortable pair of slippers.

And gut my a$$!! I work hard to stay in shape. Come over here and I'll whoop ya's

I want the vertigo Air's as well, but they don't come small enough. I'm going to end up (for now) with the Vertigo's... Still I love the way Sidi's feel, my feet don't fit the A*'s very well.

Yeah the corsas are too, but a lot of extra $$... also, they are a little too flashy for me, with all the extra red bits all over them.

I'm extremely happy with the vertigo airs. Cool, comfy, look , can't ask for much more than that.

And again, I'm still blown away by the quality of the chicanes for the $$

The vertigo's are still an awesome boot. They are exactly the same as mine, just not perforated. They still have the vent on the outside of the tongue. Do your feet get really hot often? How small do you need them? The smallest Sidi makes is a 39EU...

Don't worry, I won't do it.

Unless I get a couple beers in me...

Negative, in the B2's and the Vertigo's they go down to a 37 (which is what I need)

I have a pair of the Sidi Caynon's and I love 'em but my feet sweat in them (no ventilation at all, other than the gortex evaporation factor). So I'm looking for a second boot for summer riding.

I got 'em from kneedraggers since I was placing an order there anyways and had some spare puckbucks.

However, you can get em off of ebay or from a couple other shops for about 20 bucks cheaper. Highly recommend these pants.

I also got hiprotec hip armor inserts, and they fit perfectly. Nice and thin and flexy, but still CE approved.

Ahh I see... that kinda sucks. Weird that they would make basically the same boot down to a 37 but the perfd version only down to a 39... Maybe you could get the vertigos and then go to town on them with a needle?

Anyhow I like those Sidi's. I seen some people out wearing them n they just look comfortable n very protective. Tho I cant complain about the JR GPX's I got.

I'm lookin to get a non-perforated jacket next month.
