Rf1000

Well since I can't ride, and I have some money, I figured I'm gonna buy a new helmet. I think I like the RF1000 best (vs an EXO-700 or EXO1000).

I need help deciding which one to get... theres so many damn styles to choose from.

Another thing is I want something that I could take with me if/when I upgrade. I'm pretty convinced that my next bike is going to either black or blue (or red if its a honda), and my current bike is blue, which is why I'm looking at bluish helmets.

On that note, should I wait till I get a new bike to get a new helmet (as in, have them throw one in)? My thinking was that them throwing in a helmet is equivalent (for the dealer) to them taking off $350 from the purchase price. For example, if I didnt get the helmet thrown in, i could instead get the purchase price down another $350...so it doesnt really matter if i buy it now or then... is that true? or is there some unwritten rule that you can always get them to throw in a helmet?

Here are the options, and I also put up a pic of my bike and current gear for comparison

I just purchased the Shoei RF-1000 Strife and I love it!!! It is my second Shoei. I had the RF-800 prior to this.

I would get the RF-1000 in the style you like. We can tell you we like this or that but it is up to you. I will suggest you go to http://www.helmetshop.com and give them a call on there 1-800 number for their best price. I am sure you will be happy with it

I bought 2 helmets from them so far......

You can see pictures I took of my RF-1000 Strife helmet in the "show us your lid" thread on here....

bikergal i'm definitely calling them up, I keep forgetting to call them before 2PM cuz they are on eastern time.

actually tbh I was kinda leaning towards the strife. I really want to see what it looks like from the back and sides tho...

EDIT: nvm... I'm an idiot I just found your post

can you remove the SHOEI stickers on the sides/top? I don't like having the brand on my helmet... I paid enough money not to have advertising on my lid... rite?

Out of those I'd go 'camber'. But I'd also recommend a Suomy.

Id go camber or strife!

Good luck and I would definatly buy a blue or black bike if you buy one of these lids. Black is boring and blue doesn't go with any other colors!

see thats the key to my genious plan... my insurance agent thinks that anything with a fairing is a "bullet design superbike" and anything without gets nice, cheap rates.

plus it will hold its own vs your f4

I prefer solid colors like red. Just don't get black unless you want your head to be a thousand degrees.

Out of those, I'd go with the Cutlass...
I have the Nerve and love it.
You can still get one for $300 at www.compacc.com

Good pick on the next bike to

No you can't remove the SHOEI name on the helmet. It is under the clear coat
