is perforated leather gear less safe?

I'd like to pick up a pair of perforated tourmaster apex leather pants to zip to my HRX cortech jacket, just wondering if they are going to less safe than regular leathers.

maybe slightly less abrasion resistant than full, unmarred leathers, but still better protection than textiles. If you need some air flow I'd go perfed leather over textile.

As far as I know perforated leather offers the same protection.

well we seem to have two seasons here in sacramento...really hot and really cold. everything in between can be fixed with a waterproof over-pant, or some long johns underneath.

It holds up well. If you want to be cooler, go perforated.

I have a SpeeDrag jacket with perforated along the underside of the arms...and I can say after falling at 80 and sliding across the Concrete ... the jacket Held up nicely... and I walked away with no rash... I bet unless you're sliding across a gravel road you'll be just fine.

and I want this jacket to go with it.

http://www.motoworldonline.com/TourM...p_407-529.html

I might be selling my HRX size large to get a medium since it is great for hot rides, the sleeves are a little loose in the arms when i have the liner out, length is perfect though so i'm not sure which way to go...

ok so my ideal riding gear would be this:

perforated, flat black tourmaster magnum jacket and apex pants.

comes with CE rated, shoulder, back, elbow, knee and hip armor. only thing it doesnt have is coccyx armor like the full racing suits do, but i'd be wearing this stuff as everyday gear and commute to work gear.
