Ok here are my measurements.

6' 2.5", 34" inseam, 33" waist, 43" chest, 26.75" sleeve (my HRX sleeve length is perfect), 192lbs.

any off the shelf suits that would fit me well?

Probably not. Why not get separate jacket and pants? I have long legs compared to my upper body. Fieldsheer leather jackets (I have three of 'em) and First Gear pants fit me best.

because i can get a great price on an alpinestars size 52 2 piece suit... and i really want it. problem is the chest will probably be a lil too tight, but the waist on the next size up will be too big. leather can stretch but it won't shrink.

You can probably have a tailor take the waist in if you have to go a size up for the chest/sleeves.

I saw an AGV Sport 1-piece friday. Looked good, had replaceable knee pucks, but no armor in the elbows or shoulders. Is this normal? Price didn't look bad $600, but I don't have the cash or the need just now.

Nope, this is not normal. All our suits come with CE approved shoulder and elbow armor. Someone stole it out of the suit you were looking at if it wasn't in there.

Just a shameless plug, but we make custom suits that are wonderful for every body type. You have to be willing to shovel out a small penny... but its well worth it to have one tailor made. We also have jackets and pants that zip into eachother like some of the other members have suggested as well!!

Shoot me a PM if you have any questions about AGV Sport and I'd be happy to help ya out!

Might be worth it to just get a custom suit, so u dont have to mix & match. Various brands have different fit, makes it hard to find a good overall fit.

Plus alot of companies that produce pants and jackets that come with circumference options or 8 inch options aren't produced by the same manufacturers... therefore leaving a customer with issues of the zipper being just a little off or alterations necessary after the products are purchased.

That happened to me... I have an AGVsport pilot jacket and Teknic Chicane pants. I had to swap the full-circumference zipper on the jacket to match the zipping direction of the one on the pants. I did it on the jacket just because it was the easier of the two pieces to tailor. Only cost 20 bucks to have it done though.

I was going to get an AGV 2 pc suit, but I couldn't find one under $600 that I could have in my possesion before October!
Every place was backordered must mean they're good I guess.

Ended up going with a JR through Kneedraggers... they gave me a good discount since the original order was backordered.
Should see it in a week.

newp. I'll prolly get a Teknic Chicane jacket in a few weeks to go with my chicane pants. I got a perforated JR jacket but think it will be a lil cool with it once fall sets in

I wanna get a pair of Sidi boots too.

Yeah, jtemple PM'd me back, said it's not the best ventilated... I plan on using it mostly for commuting and track days... not much stoping on interstate or the track i figure.

As for boots, i'll stick with genuine military issue for awhile. maybe eventually get a pair of actual riding boots
