got a new Shoei RF1000 today!

I love this thing, the local shop had a sale so i picked it up in solid silver there for 300 out the door. its silver and fits so much better than any arai i've had on my head, less noisy, way better visor setup. I love the "clickable" detents on the shoei visor. I don't see myself goin back to an arai!

I could try other Arai's since all i've worn are the RX7-RR4, Corsair, and Signet GT, but i'm really pleased with this. I'm sure if i could swap some of the padding in an Arai I would end up with a perfect fit, but "off the shelf" i'm a Shoei guy!

the metallic is beautiful!

i'm not the best picture taker, i.e. i used a flash and not a single color background, but y'all get the idea.

I love my RF-1000, too. I have the Nerve in blue. It's super comfy. One time, I did a 14 1/2 hour ride and I only took it off for like 10 minutes to take a break to eat. The visor is so easy to change and everything. You might want to check out their pinlock shield. They're awsome, too. Never fogs up. I have both the clear and dark smoke because I don't feel like switching just the insert so I got both of them.

I like that Arai better, the various Arai models have different fits for different head shapes, the RX7 corsair may not have been the perfect Arai fit for u.

I had the RF1000 Diabolic & Shoei didnt fit my head at all so i exchanged it for Arai. Quality wise I'd have to go with Arai over Shoei

i don't know how you could say Arai quality is better?

cheap plastic noisy vents, poor visor system.

Not really sure what the difference is between my X-11 and the RF-1000, (love my X-11) but will probably pick up the RF for and extra helmet. The shop I go to here in Tampa will beat anyones price and he is local which is a plus.

not a bad looking lid.

It is not about how hard you can hit! Its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward!
