anyone have any experience with these tires???

looking for new tires for a zx10r, and not wanting to go to PP Ct's due to mileage concerns.

Have it narrowed to the Pirrelli Diablo Strada, and the Cont Road Attack.
Looking specifically for grip with mileage.

if anyone uses these please let me know what your experience is with mileage to date???

Thanks

You have a ZX10r. It's going to chew up tires regardless...why not having something on there that provides superior grip?

not necessarily, my friend ran 2500 on his PP's, and needed to change them.
His previous Dunlops ran out 5000 miles.
The Sportmax tires I have now, have 8500 miles at the wearbars, and most of that is highway commuting.
That is why I am looking at these. Commute 60 miles round trip and 99% is on the bike.

I believe that thirdgenlxi said he got the most miles out of the Pilot Roads, and after 100K, he should know...

I'm sold on the Avon ST45/ST46 tires: http://home.comcast.net/~mmullen38/tires.html. But they have an updated Storm-ST that is supposed to be even better.

Diablo Strada here. It's a good sport touring tire and if you don't do burnouts and such, the rear will easily last up to 9000-miles. It'd have a nice flat spot by then but it will last that long and then some. The front is easily twice that. Great in the wet and sticks plenty well enough for the streets unless you get stupid and ride like you're riding on the track. Don't overlook the Metzler Z6 Roadtec either.

I've used both the Strada and Z6 and I love them all for long lasting and good street performances.

thanks, lots of good information.
I am thinking in the future of asking members of all the different boards to rate the tires they use in an effort to build some kind of library for Motorcycle tires. Surprisingly, no one has a complete database on the net.
