Best place to buy a helmet?

I've been to a dealer to try on the helmet i want for size, i just want to know if there are any places online that are cheaper and reliable. I found this site www.extremesupply.com and it has very good prices on the helmet i want (AGV stealth). Any suggestions?

Helmets are all about how they fit you the best....

If you tried on the helmet and it fit you perfectly, and you know the size and manf and style.... then yea, go buy one online, Cinderella.

Not sure if these carry AGV, but they're great companies to deal with (Esp. New Enough... can't say enough good things about them):

http://www.newenough.com
http://www.tricktape.com

and The Helmet Shop in Daytona (I think it's just http://www.helmetshop.com), BUT with them, CALL them for the price - it'll be better than on their site.

Absolutely. I'd only order online if you KNOW it fits you right.

Check them all. Almost everyone has closeouts/ holiday specials now. Sometimes you can wait and the price will go down, but watch out if you wear a common size. They'll run out!

Ebay and helmetshop. Between those two, you WILL find the best price. (helmetshop you have to call them to get the price quote, though).

Obviously, you should go to a shop and try them all on first...

These guys are right about helmetshop.com. I just called and inquired about a $280 helmet and was quoted $252. That's $30 lower than I could find it on any other place on the net. I know where I'm getting my helmet from!

One of the simplest ways to find the best price online is to do a google if you know the manufacturer and model of the helmet you like. many times Google will give results with prices showing.

well if your buying for a helmet that best suit your needs, you might as well consider first the size of your head, contour, etc. you may want to check this site http://getmotorcyclehelmets.com/. it talks mostly about helmet safety as well as choosing the best helmet for you

cycle gear will measure your head to get a closer idea of what you should be wearing. plus they have 7 day no hassle helmet exchange policy and 30 day best price guarantee. The helmet should not fit comfortably!!!! It should be snuggly fit when brand new. Helmets will "brake in" over time and form to your face, sort of like your old shoe fits better over time. If you wear the helmet for about 20 min and it gives you a bad headache its to small.

I'd suggest looking on Craigslist for gently used one Obviously though the lining should be removable and washable.
